Natural Birth Preparation
The best time to sign up for natural birth preparation sessions is the 28th week of pregnancy.
In total, there will be 6 sessions, each lasting 60 min.
1st session 50 to 60 min each session.
Session 1:
Activation of labour support muscles.
Posture correction for body balancing.
Helping to get extra space in the uterus for the growing baby.
Discussion: Pregnancy discomforts – Addressing these concerns and resolving them as these can interfere with delivery outcomes.
Time frame – 28 to 30 weeks.
Session 2:
Pelvic and spinal alignment practice.
Smart resting for baby growth and womb position.
Discussion: When to expect labour and what to expect during labour.
Time frame – 30 to 32 weeks.
Session 3:
Belly mapping to understand baby position and understand which side the baby facing in the womb.
Discussion: Early signs of labour. Early labour position for good progression of labour.
Time frame – 32 to 34 weeks.
Session 4:
Pelvis opening exercises.
Deep stretches for pelvis and inner thigh.
Discussion: Third trimester challenges; Selecting the 5 best and most comfortable labour positions which suit you most as per body type; How to manage early labour.
Time frame – 34 weeks.
Session 5:
Pelvic relaxation exercises.
Physio ball hula hoop exercises.
Pelvic rotation.
Baby Visualisation.
Transition phases.
Discussion: What you’ll feel during the transition phase of labour; How to cope with the most uncomfortable part of labour. What to do when you are not ready to push.
Time frame – 35 weeks.
Session 6:
Exercises to navigate the baby for optimal position of the baby to support easy birth. Eg. Anteversion,side release, abdominal muscles release techniques.
Discussion: How to push with controlled breathing.
Time frame – 36 weeks.
